Course Summary

Want to charter a yacht overseas? This is the course you need.

The International Bareboat Skipper and ICC course is a five day course and it is not for beginners.

This course includes both the Bareboat Skipper qualification AND the ICC (International Certificate of Competence). This combination is widely accepted by international charter companies.

The course is comprised of online learning along with 5 days of on-water instruction.

The online theory is extensive and can take up to 40 hours to complete. Please allow enough time to complete this prior to the on-water component of the course.

The practical component of the course is approximately 25-30 hours over 5 days. Typically beginning at 10am and finishing at 3pm, however there is one longer day to allow for adequate passage planning. The longer day is determined by weather conditions at the time of the course.

Need to gain more experience first? Check out the International Crew course, as the prerequisite to this course.
